This trend is not only adorable and can go with pretty much anything, they also come in fun prints, colors, and styles. I’m a huge fan of the pin-up inspired, kind of nautical shorts (Who’d have thought?) They range from stretchy fabric to sequins to denim. This trend is versatile and, personally, timeless.
It’s all about styling when it comes to these shorts. If the top you’re wearing is too long, it’s almost as if you aren’t wearing high-waisted shorts at all. So if this happens, tuck it in! You can even just tuck the front in and leave the back hanging a bit over.
Other options for shirts are the ever-popular crop, a bralet/bustier, or tying your shirt in a knot right in the middle or to the side. All of these options should be thought out carefully, though. You can go simple with the top, or mix patterns, it’s up to you. You can be as laid-back as you’d like or go all out and show those true colors.
