Style Icon: Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey AKA Lizzy Grant is yet another one of my girl crushes. But beyond that, she’s one of the most amazing songstresses in the game and a fashion icon with her varying, yet classy style. She has a sugar-y sweet side with a hint of deviance, which I love. She can look good in a cutesy, pale summer dress or be in a punk-rock concert get-up and still pull it off flawlessly.

Her frillier, retro chic style consists of pastel dresses, flowers, and big hair. Although usually very simple, it suits her and isn’t distracting from her music or voice. If it weren’t for her provocative lyrics and music videos, you’d think she were the perfect angel based on her style alone.

Lana has also popularized the flower crown through her videos and photos. She was inspired by Nancy Sinatra. This trend took hold last summer and has been hanging on pretty hard. I'll admit that I made a few flower crowns last summer and am tempted to rock them soon.
